The Mail Alias Service is an email forwarding service using a general JP domain "nagoya-u.jp" acquired by Nagoya University.
Members of Nagoya University use an email address with the domain, nagoya-u.ac.jp, on a daily basis. For instance, if your email address is xxxxxx@yyy.nagoya-u.ac.jp, emails sent to you via Internet will be received by the mail server for yyy.nagoya-u.ac.jp and maintained in your mail box.
On the contrary, emails sent to your address for Mail Alias, xxxxxx@nagoya-u.jp, are received by the Mail Alias Server first and then forwarded to the email address that you have registered in advance.
Consequently, this system enables you to receive emails with your current email address and also to receive emails with a Mail Alias address at the same time.
