Is it possible to change the address for the Nagoya University Mail System?

After April 1, 2022, the Nagoya University Mail address cannot be changed.

The address of the Nagoya University Mail System is created as Lastname.Firstname@*.mboxnagoya-u.ac.jp (* is one letter of the alphabet) and cannot be changed in principle.

A change may be allowed in the following cases:

  1. The mail address is too long. (The letters before the @ mark are more than 21 letters.)
  2. The person changed his or her name. (The [Procedures for a name change] has been completed.)

Application is submitted to:

  1. Under-graduate or graduate students:

  2. Faculty and staff members, research students, special researchers, trainees, etc.

If you would like to change your email address due to your name change, please go through procedures to change your name first.

  1. Under-graduate or graduate students:
    Please follow the procedures at the Education Affairs Section for your affiliation.

  2. Faculty and staff members:
    Please go through procedures at the General Affairs for your affiliation.
