Mail Alias Service
[Notice] (Using Google Translate)
- New registration for the email alias service has ended. Please wait for a while until we start accepting new registrations for the next service.
- Email sending using the email alias service is scheduled to end on January 15, 2024. Additionally, the email alias service itself is scheduled to end on March 29, 2024. We will notify you individually via email, but if necessary, please transition to nagoya-u.jp email.
- Regarding emails sent to @nagoya-u.jp by people who switched from smtp.nagoya-u.jp to nagoya-u.jp email between 2023/11/6 and the morning of 2023/11/8. There was an issue where emails were not delivered to the mailbox of the migrated destination, but instead were delivered to the forwarding destination specified by the email alias service as before the migration.
The Mail Alias Service is an email forwarding service using a general JP domain "nagoya-u.jp" acquired by Nagoya University.
Members of Nagoya University use an email address with the domain, nagoya-u.ac.jp, on a daily basis. For instance, if your email address is xxxxxx@yyy.nagoya-u.ac.jp, emails sent to you via Internet will be received by the mail server for yyy.nagoya-u.ac.jp and maintained in your mail box.
Consequently, this system enables you to receive emails with your current email address and also to receive emails with a Mail Alias address at the same time.
