Alert to increase in suspicious e-mails with malware Emotet attached

Based on the recent world situation, since the end of February 2022, suspicious e-mails with malware Emotet (motet) attached have widely arrived at our university.
Emotet is distributed mainly as Excel or Word files with macros or as Zip files with passwords attached to emails.

Please take the following actions.  

Do not reply to mail.
Do not access the URL in the mail.
Do not open files attached to mail.

In case you execute the attached file, please take the following actions.

Disconnect the network cable (turn off the function for Wi-fi).
Contact the Information Security Office.
